Browns with Wafflemaker Hash

 Ingredients

  •  Olive oil cooking spray, for spraying the waffle iron
  •  One 30-ounce bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
  •  4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, melted
  •  1 teaspoon kosher salt
  •  1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  •  3/4 cup grated Cheddar
  •  3/4 cup chopped ham

Directions:

Step No.1

Waffle irons should be preheated to the standard setting and have cooking spray applied to both sides.

Step No.2

After removing any extra moisture, place the hash browns in a bowl. Drizzle the hash browns with the melted butter, season with salt and pepper, and mix. Fill each waffle part with a heaping 1/2 cup of the seasoned hash browns.

Next, sprinkle diced ham on top and add a generous 2 tablespoons of Cheddar cheese. Put an additional 1/4 cup of hash browns on top of the cheese and ham in each portion. Once the waffle iron is closed, cook on the normal setting for 15 minutes.

Step No.3

Fill one part of the waffle iron with the leftover hash browns, cheese, and ham. Repeat.
